Stefanie Powers began her career in the Swingin’ 1960s, and her career includes one of the signature TV shows from that era. She was born Stefanie Federkiewicz in Hollywood, California. She graduated from Hollywood High School, and made her film debut in a small role in “Tammy Tell Me True” (1961). She co-starred with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara in “McClintock!” in 1963, and her distinctive look got her a role as April Dancer in a spin-off of the TV show “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” aptly entitled “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.” In the 1970s, she starred in two Walt Disney live action pictures, “The Boatniks” (1970) and “Herbie Rides Again” (1974), before landing “Hart to Hart” in 1979. This became her defining moment, and she would do eight more TV“Hart” movies through 1996.
Stefanie Powers appeared at “The Hollywood Show,” an exciting gathering of celebrities and memorabilia for movies, TV and pop culture fans. The next edition in Chicago will be March 16th-18th, 2018 (details below).
